The IBI PCR Clean-Up and Gel Extraction Kits streamline your PCR protocols by providing an effective solution for recovering or concentrating DNA fragments ranging from 50bp to 10kb. Using a chaotropic salt method, the kit dissolves agarose gel, denatures enzymes, and binds DNA fragments to a glass fiber matrix in a spin column. Contaminants, such as salts, unincorporated nucleotides, and enzymes, are washed away with a specialized ethanol-containing buffer, leaving purified DNA fragments ready for downstream applications like restriction digestion, ligation, sequencing, or further PCR amplification. Recoveries of 90–95% for PCR clean-up ensure excellent yields and purity, with the entire protocol completed in under 20 minutes.
